The Workforce Connections program provides practical tools and information to help job seekers with obtaining an entry-level position in their chosen field of study.
In addition to receiving one-on-one support, you will also be provided the opportunity to participate in customized group workshops.

Designed to help you with learning about Canadian workplace culture and enhancing your interpersonal communication skills, these workshops are a prerequisite for participation in the STEP and Internship programs. (Maximum of 8 participants for each group session)
The Career-Focused Mentoring program provides newcomers with an opportunity to become familiar with Canadian workplace culture, learn about the requirements to work in their field in Canada, further develop their communication skills and to expand their professional networks.

Networks is a job start program to help you identify your personal career goals, develop essential skills, and increase your self-confidence for successful entry into the Canadian workplace.
In addition to completing a series of group workshops, a Job Coach will assist you with your search for employment.
STEP (Strategic Transitions & Employment Partnerships) connects job-ready newcomers with local employers for a five (5) - ten (10) week volunteer placement.
A STEP placement will provide you an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and abilities, gain relevant Canadian work experience, and develop professional networks.

e-Employment/Career Counselling offers customized, flexible and confidential access to employment information and services to newcomers throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Energy Sector Language Training course is designed to assist Engineers, Geoscientists, Chemists, Accountants, workers in Skilled Trades, and other support staff with developing their professional workplace communication skills to work in the Oil and Gas Industry.

AXIS offers preparatory classes for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the Test of English for International Communications (TOEIC), as well as the Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL)
AXIS offers preparatory classes for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the Test of English for International Communications (TOEIC), as well as the Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL), and the Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainers (CanTEST) when instruction is required.
These classes are offered on a regular basis to assist you with preparing for examinations. The successful completion of one of these examinations is a prerequisite for many post-secondary programs or for licensure in particular professions. (Maximum of 10 participants for each session)
