In 1998 he left his native Bulgaria relocating to Newfoundland and Labrador with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. Thanks to AXIS Career Services he was able to prepare for a transition into the Canadian labour market through a Pre-Employment Readiness program. This client was then placed in a 5 week volunteer work placement with the Anna Templeton Centre in St. John’s as an assistant in textile production activities. Within weeks he was hired full-time with Specialty Apparel, a privately owned Newfoundland company based in St. John’s, as a Textile/Screen Print Design Associate. While still employed, this client has now again sought advice from the AXIS team regarding Post Secondary Studies and is pursuing post graduate studies in the field of oil and gas development at Memorial University.
